National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) over the weekend began the distribution of relief materials to 2022 flood victims in Kwara State.
NEMA Director General Mustapha Ahmed, represented by the Head of Monitoring and Evaluation, Ephraim Tony, said the Federal Government approved the intervention for the people affected by the 2022 flood disasters.
Ahmed recalled that the 2022 flood disaster affected many communities across the country, including Kwara State, where most of the people in the communities were displaced and their farmland and crops washed away by water.
Meanwhile, Governor AbdulRaman AbdulRazaq, represented by Deputy Governor Kayode Alabi, launched the distribution of the items which includes , food items, sewing machines, grinding machines, mosquito nets and mattresses.
