Kwara state government has called on security agencies to investigate the death of a vibrant media personality, Yusuf Mubaarak, who was found dead in Ilorin, the state capital.
The state government, in a statement released by the Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye over the weekend, the Governor condemned the violence that led to the young man’s death.
Recall that Mubaarak had gone missing on Wednesday night but his lifeless body was found around Unity area, Ilorin, Kwara state.
Royaltimes reported that the Governor, who expressed his heartfelt condolences to Mubaarak’s grieving family, friends, and the youths called for an immediate and comprehensive investigation to identify and bring the perpetrators of the cowardly act to justice.
In his reaction, the spokesperson of the Kwara police command, SP Ajayi Okasanmi confirmed that investigation to apprehend the perpetrators of the evil act is ongoing, stating that the report of the investigation will be made public when concluded.
