Kwara College of Education Students Lament Delayed Start of Academic Activities

Students of Kwara State College of Education have lamented the delayed start of academic activities since resumption of the new academic session about one month ago.

The students expressed frustration with the delayed start of academic activities, charging the management of the school to ensure they return to the classroom before the start of examination.

RoyalTimes gathered that the students of the Kwara College of Education resumed a new academic session on Monday, October 6, 2023.

However, the Kwara State College of Education on Wednesday has clarified the resumption of academic activities for the new session.

Responding to the claims by the students, a source close to the Acting Provost, Dr. Sheu Jawondo said academic activities resumed on Monday, November 6, 2023.

The source explained that the delay was caused by the sandwich program which will be concluded on Friday, November 10 and further charged the students to check the calendar of the academic session on the notice board.

“I spoke with the Acting provost and he informed me that the resumption of academic activities is on Monday, November 6, 2023. We are just concluding the sandwich program. It will be concluded on Friday.”

“Some of the students are not aware of this information. The fact that they have been given admission doesn’t indicate the start of academic activities in the school.”

“The students should check the notice board in the school for information about the activities going on in the school, he concluded.”
