Expert Counsels Veteran Journalists On Healthy Lifestyle

Veteran Journalists have been advised to imbibe healthy lifestyle to keep fit at all times.

The Focal Person for Basic Health Care Provision Fund at Kwara State Ministry of Health, Dr Olabisi Adebusola Oyeyipo gave the advice during an health talk programme tagged’ Healthcare As A Sexagenerian’ ,organised by the  Kwara State’s chapter of the National League of Veteran Journalists.

Oyeyipo advised the senior journalists to  create enough time to sleep, exercise and  visit health facilities for proper health check at least once in three months.

She advised them against  using same drugs prescribed for their friends simply because such drugs were effective for them.

This, she said becomes imperative because some of the immunities have reduced due to old age and as elderly people, they may not be able to fight against diseases as it were  at the middle age.’

In his contribution, the chairman, Nigerian Union of Journalists, Kwara State Council, Comrade Ahmed Abdullateef thanked the guest lecturer and hailed the NALVEJ members for their support for the upcoming journalists in the state.
