Former Nigerian international goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama, has expressed his willingness to contribute to the Super Eagles coaching staff if given the opportunity.
Despite retiring from playing in 2015 after a distinguished career, Enyeama stated that he would gladly bring his wealth of experience from European football to support the national team.
Speaking in an interview, Enyeama emphasised his enduring commitment to Nigeria and his eagerness to assist in any capacity required.
While acknowledging that he is not yet certified as a goalkeeper coach, he drew parallels to Zinedine Zidane’s coaching journey and expressed openness to taking on the role if called upon by the Nigerian Football Federation.
He said, “Becoming a goalkeeper coach, first of all, I’m not yet certified. If they want me to be like Zidane, who was not yet certified, but Real Madrid had faith in him, it can happen.
“I don’t have a problem if they wake up tomorrow and say, Vincent, come and be part of the setup- I will gladly do it. I can never say no to my country, I have always said that.
“I can never say no to Nigeria. I will bring my experience over the years in Europe, and we will do it. But they have to call me first.”
