Education experts have provided clarification on the WAEC Computer-Based Examination, emphasizing that the test is exclusively designed for private candidates and is not accessible to students currently enrolled in secondary schools.
In preparation for the upcoming West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for private candidates, the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) scheduled a free mock computer-based examination to take place on Tuesday, January 23rd, and Wednesday, January 24th.
However, it has been clarified that this mock exam is exclusively for private candidates and not open to those still enrolled in secondary schools.
In an interview with RoyalTimes, Mr. Akinjile Olushola, an educationist, emphasized that the mock computer-based test (CBT) is akin to the General Certificate of Education (GCE).
Another educationist, Mr. Ojo Oyetunde, provided insights into the examination type and processes, advising students to undergo computer-based training to familiarize themselves with the CBT format.
Participants of the mock exam expressed readiness and enthusiasm toward the test, eager to gauge their preparedness for the main examination.
