The National Industrial Court in Owerri, Imo State has issued a new interim injunction restraining the Organised Labour of the Nigeria Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress from embarking on any kind of strike in the state until further notice.
Justice Ogbuanya gave the order after hearing the submissions of counsels to both parties and warned against disobedience, saying that it would attract consequences.
The Nations reported that the court reserved November 30th for the ruling and after considering the motion for interlocutory injunction by the claimants.
A section of the Labour Union had embarked on a strike action paralysing business activities in the State, contrary to a court order that the parties should hold peace pending the determination of the case.” Parties are hereby directed to be mindful of consequences of disobedience of extant court order in the pending suit before the court,” it further ordered.
