The Bashiru Bolarinwa led Kwara All Progressive Compressive APC has faulted the judgment delivered by a justice of Ilorin High court T.S Umar which affirm Balogun Fulani as the chairman of the state.
Speaking during a press conference held at the party’s secretariat today, Bolanrinwa also accused the senate president, Bukola Saraki of sponsoring the Ishola Balogun faction in the case initiated by Balogun seeking the court to impose him and his cohorts of moles as executives of APC in the state until 2022.
While noting that the party has appealed the case, Bolarinwa said all the candidates elected by the National Working Committee, NWC, of the party remain the party candidates for the 2019 general election. He noted that the Supreme Court has made judgment clear on several occasions that no state party can operate alone without the directive of the NWC of any party.
Bolarinwa who explained that Balogun Fulani and his group are working with the senate president doctor Bukola Saraki said Balogun Fulani and his cohorts have always boasted that the kwara state judiciary is in the pocket of their leader Saraki. Bolarinwa described the judgment as dead on arrival.
Our correspondent Olarotimi Oshin who made effort to speak with the Public Relations officer of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state, Tunde Ashaolu, reports that the PRO declined comment on the allegation that the senate president is funding the Balogun Fulani against APC in the state.
