The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) will begin registration for the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on the tenth of January, 2019.
JAMB Registrar, Prof Is-haq Oloyede said at a stakeholders meeting for CBT Centre operators and others at the University of Lagos today that the sale of e-PINs for the examination will last for six weeks.
Although the actual examination dates are yet to be announced, Oloyede gave the assurance that the general elections would not affect the sale of forms, and that the board had adjusted its examination schedule ahead of the election.
Oloyede said the registration for the examination would be done only by 718 accredited CBT centres spread across the country. He said the board will no longer use cyber cafes for registration of candidates, beginning from the 2019 UTME. Oloyede accused the cafes of extorting candidates and overcharging them. “
