Super Eagles vice-captain, William Troost-Ekong, has hinted that he knows the destination of his compatriot Victor Osimhen for the upcoming season amid speculation surrounding the striker’s future.
Osimhen, who currently plies his trade with Serie A champions Napoli, is widely expected to depart the Italian club in the summer transfer window, with reports indicating a release clause of €130 million in his contract.
In recent statements, the Nigerian forward indicated that he has already made a decision regarding his next career move, fueling anticipation among football enthusiasts.
Troost-Ekong, speaking to newsmen, shared insights into Serie A and the upcoming match between Salernitana and Udinese, hinting at the significance of the fixture for him personally.
When pressed further about Osimhen’s next destination, Troost-Ekong remained coy but suggested he had inside knowledge regarding the matter.
“I always follow Serie A, it’s a great league. This weekend with Salernitana-Udinese will be special for me, also because it was also the last match I played in my last season. The points would certainly be more useful to Salernitana than to Udinese,” Troost-Ekong told Sky Sport via TMW.
