The Labour Party Presidential Candidate of the 2023 Election, Peter Obi has called for love, peace, unity, compassion and continued support among Nigerians irrespective of the religion.
Obi made the call when he joined Muslim faithful at the Suleja International Market Mosque in Niger State to break the Ramadan fast on Thursday.
He called for change in the Government reforms to alleviate the high level effect of hardship on Nigerians while he offered his supports, prayers for the welfare and success of the Muslim community.
“Today, Christians don’t buy bread cheaper, Muslims don’t buy bread cheaper, no religions buy bread cheaper, no religions buy rice cheaper, no religions buy fuel cheaper. When we don’t have water, it affected everybody, that is why we are saying there must be a change, that is why going round visiting…, I was in Lafia yesterday, I”m here today and I will go on to other areas doing the same thing, preaching let’s have peace, let’s love each other, let’s care for each other, let us work and ensure that poor people among us become something. We want a society where a child of nobody will become somebody,” he said.
“Obi said, I assure you community leader, we are not just passing. If we have the opportunity, we would come back, when wewere coming in here we saw the Zuma Rock, I told them, how can we have this and it’s not a tourist centre? If not, all these places would’ve been a tourist centre.”
