Nigerian troops have seized over eleven million naira, killed and captured many terrorists and weapons in operations on enclaves, hideouts, camps and training ground at villages, mountains and waterside within Borno, Adamawa and Yobe in the past two weeks.
The Nigerian Defence Headquarters said this while giving an update on operations against Boko Haram and Islamic States of West Africa (ISWAP) terrorists and other criminals in both land and air operations in the North East.
The Director, Defence Media Operations, Maj.-Gen. Musa Danmadami, told journalists at the bi-weekly press briefing on the operations of the armed forces in Abuja that the land troops recovered several other items and the sum of eleven point zero-four million naira, neutralised twenty terrorists, captured seven, apprehended forty suspected logistics suppliers and fifteen notorious criminal gang members.
