Delivering his acceptance speech after the General Assembly of the Christian Association of Nigeria CAN validated his election, the new president of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Archbishop Daniel Okoh has expressed fear in the decision made by the presidential aspirant of the All progressive Congress (APC) to pick a muslim, Kashim Shettima as his running mate for the General Election.
According to him, the decision by the former Lagos State governor is seen by some Christian faithful as a deliberate plan to remove the Christian faith from the scheme of things and make them second-class citizens in Nigeria.
Despite the expression of fear, he urged Christians to make a positive impact on the political, economic and social systems of the country.
In his remarks, the outgoing president of CAN, Reverend Samson Ayokunle lamented the security state of the country.
