The Whip of the Senate, Ali Ndume, said the two chambers of the National Assembly quickly passed the two-point one-seven trillion naira supplementary budget to allow the government to meet up with some urgent time-bound issues.
Mr Ndume, who is also the deputy chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee, said the action by the two chambers was done in the interest of the country.
