The Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative has inaugurated the Kaduna State CNG conversion centre as part of the Federal Government’s effort to mitigate the effect of subsidy removal.
Inaugurating the conversion centre in Kaduna over the weekend, the Chairman of the Presidential CNG Initiative Steering Committee, Zacch Adedeji, said the CNG conversion site was designed to convert conventional petrol vehicles into Compressed Natural Gas-powered vehicles.
Dailytrust reported that Adedeji noted that the centre represented Nigeria’s commitment to transitioning to cleaner and more affordable energy solutions.
He added that the transformation will not only reduce the operating cost for vehicle owners but also contribute to the substantial decrease in carbon emissions.
