Authorities of the Nasarawa state owned polytechnic, the Isa mustapha polytechnic, has announced a ban on the sale of handout to students of the institutions.
Acting Rector of the institution, Nurudeen Maifata, announced the ban during the matriculation of newly admitted students for 2023/2024 academic session in Lafia, Thursday.
Maifata said no students are to be left behind on account of inability to purchase handouts or other learning materials, urging staff and students to comply with the policy direction of the institution to give opportunities for all to learn equitably.
He called on students to steer clear from acts of indiscipline on campus such as indecent dressing, cultism, prostitution, sexual misconduct and examination malpractice, adding that the polytechnic under his watch will not hesitate to deal decisively with anyone found breaking the law.
Maifata urged the students to be good ambassadors of the institution by exhibiting hard work, honesty, discipline, dedication to learning and to cooperate with the polytechnic management to ensure acts of immorality and destabilisation of the peace, safety and security of the institution are curbed.
