After going down to 10 men when Yves Bissouma was sent off just before half-time, Spurs’ winner came from Micky van de Ven, who poked home his first goal for the club on 52 minutes after James Maddison cut the ball back from a short corner.
Elsewhere Manchester United fought back from a goal down to win two goals to one against Brentford at Old Trafford thanks to two late goals from Scott McTominay at the eighty-seventh and ninety-three minutes respectively.
Also, Chelsea football continues their winning run of three wins out of three matches so far it was a comfortable win for the Blues as they defeated Burnley away from home coming from a goal down to win four goals to one goal coming from Raheem Sterling, Cole Palmer, Nicolas Jackson and an own goal from Al Dakhi.
