Kwara Residents Laments Slow Construction Of Road Project At Gaa Akanbi

written by olarotimi August 28, 2023

Residents Gaa Akanbi, and Agbabiaka community in Tanke, Ilorin South Local Government Area have lamented the poor condition of the road which is under construction by the state government.

The residents, who spoke with RoyalFM News expressed dissatisfaction with the progress of the project, which was initially speculated to end within one month.

Speaking with Royal FM correspondent, Mrs Odetunde said that since the commencement of the road she finds it difficult to transport in her car due to the bad state of the alternative road.

A tricycle operator, Muyideen Salaudeen urged the government to make the construction project faster as the passengers are complaining about the hike in transport fare.

Reacting to the complaints of the residents, one of the engineers handling the project, Eng. Yinka Solomon, revealed that  their team is working hard to deliver the project within the shortest possible period, clarifying that the alternative road given to commuters is Alao farm and not of Oke Ogun route.
