Kwara Governor Hosts Winners Of Presidential School Debate, Splashes Cash Reward

Kwara Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq hosted the six public school students who emerged victorious in the presidential debate competition in Abuja.

The governor, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye said each student was rewarded with a one million naira cash gift and a state scholarship for their undergraduate studies in any discipline.

Governor Abdulrazaq hailed the students as the pride of Kwara state, commending their outstanding performance. He expressed gratitude to their parents, teachers, and the leadership of the Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board (KWSUBEB) for their contributions to this achievement.

“I congratulate you for doing exceedingly well. The state is proud of you, as you carry the flags as ambassadors of the state. You will now become ambassadors of Nigeria when you go to Serbia (Europe) to represent the country,” the Governor said.

Following their success in Abuja, the students are now set to represent Nigeria at the World School Debate Championship in the Republic of Serbia, Europe.
