Kwara Government Announces Monthly Sanitation To Hold On Saturday

The Kwara state government has informed the general public that the monthly sanitation exercise for August will hold on Saturday, August 26 from 7am to 9am.

In a press release by the Press Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Yakub Kamaldeen Aliagan, the government enjoined residents of Kwara to fully participate in the sanitation exercise by cleaning both their residential and business environments.

The government further stated that there will be vehicular and human movement across the state due to the Common Entrance Examination (Placement Examination) that is going to hold on that day.

Kamaldeen, in the statement also noted that the waste management trucks will be on ground for waste collection and subsequent disposal to the dump site in the metropolis.

The government, however, warned residents to desist from dumping refuse on the pedestrian walkways, road dividers, drainages, canals and all other unapproved dump sites.
