Israel has reopened its airspace after a barrage of drones and missiles launched by Iran prompted its closure. Military and commercial flights to Israel have resumed operations following the attack, which saw over 300 drones launched from Iran, Iraq, and Yemen.
Israeli defense forces, with support from the US and UK, intercepted most of the incoming drones, averting casualties. The attack, orchestrated by Iran in retaliation for an April 1 strike on an Iranian consulate in Syria, targeted diplomatic premises, resulting in the deaths of seven Iranian officials, including two generals.
The assault on the consulate drew condemnation from global powers, including China, Russia, and the European Union, who underscored the sanctity of diplomatic missions under international law.
