The House of Representatives has denied claims by the leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress that the Federal Government gave one hundred million naira to members of the National Assembly as palliatives.
It could be recalled that the National Assistant Secretary of the NLC, Christopher Onyeka, had earlier accused the federal government of sharing one hundred million naira palliative to the National Assembly members to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy.
Reacting to the allegation, House Committee Chairman on Media and Public Affairs, Akin Rotimi, described the allegation as baseless and “devoid of factual accuracy.”
Punch gathered that Rotimi said that the 10th Assembly reassured Nigerians that it remains committed to advancing the well-being of all constituents.
