Hamas has urged Palestinians to march to Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa Mosque at the onset of Ramadan next month.
The call from Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh came after U.S. President Joe Biden hinted at a ceasefire agreement during Ramadan, coupled with the release of hostages held by militants.
Biden aims to finalize the agreement by 4TH of March , ahead of Ramadan’s start on March 10.
Despite hopes for a truce between the sides, both Israel and Hamas downplay prospects, with Qatari mediators indicating unresolved issues still remain.
While Israel has provided conditional allowance for Ramadan prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque, they have also set a stage for potential clashes amid ongoing Gaza violence.
