Google has reached a settlement in the high-stakes patent infringement lawsuit involving artificial intelligence (AI) chips, as disclosed in a filing at a Massachusetts federal court on Wednesday.
The resolution comes on the same day that closing arguments were set to commence in the trial initiated by Singular Computing, which sought a substantial one point six seven billion dollars in damages.
While specific details of the settlement remain undisclosed, both Google and Singular have confirmed the agreement without offering further insights.
Google’s spokesperson, Jose Castaneda, asserted the company’s adherence to patent rights and expressed satisfaction in resolving the matter.
