Fuel queues have resurfaced in Nigeria’s capital city, Abuja, amid the hardship, which has triggered protests across the country.
It was reported that queues resurfaced around the city on Monday after petrol tanker drivers vowed to stop lifting fuel over unfavourable working condition.
Operators in the downstream oil sector also confirmed that the development was due to the suspension of operations by the Nigerian Association of Road Transport Owners, in fulfilment of their threat to down tools beginning today Monday.
It was gathered the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited filling station on Arab Road in Kubwa, Abuja, was closed on Monday morning.
Meanwhile, the Conoil filling station along the Zuba-Kubwa expressway had long queues.
