Dana Air has issued an apology to its passengers and announced the retiming of flight operations in the aftermath of an incident involving one of its aircraft skidding off the runway at Lagos Airport.
Newsmen gathered the incident, which occurred at approximately 8:25 a.m. on Tuesday, involved a Dana aircraft that veered off the runway at Murtala Mohammed Airport in Ikeja while attempting to land. The flight originated from Abuja and was en route to Lagos.
In a statement released by Mr. Kingsley Ezenwa, the Head of Corporate Communications at Dana Air, the airline expressed its sincerest apologies to all affected passengers.
“Dana Air has extended its sincerest apologies to all passengers affected by the recent schedule disruption resulting from the runway excursion involving one of its aircraft at Lagos airport.
“We understand the frustration and inconvenience experienced by passengers whose travel plans were disrupted due to the incident and we are deeply sorry,” he said.
