The Nigeria Medical Association, NMA, on Sunday called on President Bola Tinubu, to activate immediate emergency measures to tackle flooding in the country before it starts to ravage homes.
Vanguard reports that the President of the Nigeria Medical Association, Uche Rowland Ojinmah, made this appeal while speaking to newsmen in Owerri, following their National Executive Council, NEC, meeting.
Rowland further stated that it would be unacceptable to have a repeat of the story of the last incident of flood in the country, where homes and residents were displaced by flood.
