President Bola Tinubu has strongly defended his decision to appoint 47 ministers, addressing criticism amid ongoing economic challenges in Nigeria.
The President, while justifying the size of his cabinet, emphasized that the extensive number of ministers reflects the diverse roles necessary for efficient governance.
In a meeting with a delegation from the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), President Tinubu expressed skepticism about reducing the size of his cabinet, asserting that a smaller number might not necessarily lead to improved performance.
Politic Nigeria gathered he argued that a comprehensive array of ministries is essential for the effective functioning of the government.
He defended the move, stating, “Nigeria needs to turn the corner to grow, and we must give people challenges they can manage, and that is what we are doing.”
