All Set for Asatainment Day 2018 with Omidan Olayinka

All is now set for the second edition of Asatainment Day, 2018 with Omidan Olayinka.

This year’s edition is to hold on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at the Banquet Hall, opposite Government House, Ilorin, the Kwara state capital. Red carpet starts by 10:00 am.

Organiser of the show, Olayinka Ajani said the essence of the show is to celebrate the Yoruba culture, revive and preserve dying traditional practices as well as showcase the beauty in Yoruba culture in an entertaining manner.

While attendees are expected to adorn the day’s adire traditional attire, the event hopes to feature traditional rendition like ijala, ewi, dadakuada and so on, there will also be cultural dance and children performance.

Alhaji Muri Thunder and Alhaja Obirere will both headline the musicians lined up to perform at the event while the Masters of Ceremony, MC are Bebe Musiliu and Wasila Coded.

Other performing artistes include Seyidat Fatimah Aljafariya, Kifayat Singer, Lekan Glamour, Onimama Fausiyat, Ericky, Adejoke Ewaede, Odun Olosan, Akinkanju ode ilu Ilorin and many more.

The Special Guests of Honour, include Her excellency, Mrs Omolewa Ahmed, Kwara state Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hajia Amina Susa-ade Ahmed, and the state Commissioner for Police, Saleh Pai.

Others are the Senior Special Assistant to Kwara state Governor on Media and Publicity, Dr  Muyideen Akorede, a member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abubakar Amuda-Kannike, former Senior Legislative aide to Senate President, Honourable Moshood Mustapha, MM,  Hon. Tunji Olawuyi (Tunjitokyo) among others.

Alhaji Abdufatai Dankazeem and Hon. Femi Adebayo are Chief hosts.
