The 2022 budget of one hundred and eighty seven point five billion naira Revised Appropriation passed ‘Second Reading’ on Wednesday at the Kwara State House Assembly.
This followed a motion by the Deputy House Leader and member representing Lanwa/Ejidongari Constituency, Honorable John Bello.
Leading the debate on the general principle of the bill, the Deputy House Leader, said the Revised Appropriation 2022 Bill became necessary due to the global economic downturn affecting the country and Kwara State in particular.
Royal Times reports that In his contribution, the Chairman of Finance and Appropriation, Hon. Ibrahim Ambali, noted that the year 2022, was a challenging one but the state scaled through via the transparency of the Governor and unrelentless efforts of the 9th Assembly.
