The Kwara State House of Assembly has banned strip clubs or nude parties from holding in all government and privately-owned hotels operating in the state.
The assembly issued the ban yesterday after adopting a motion entitled: “Banning Nude Parties in Hotels in Kwara’’ moved by the House Leader, Hassan Oyeleke.
The bill was brought before the house after information got to the lawmakers that some hotels in the state allow nude parties and strip teasing in their premises.
After the bill was unanimously adopted by the house, the Speaker, Ali Ahmad, directed all hoteliers in the state to desist from organising such clubs or parties and called on the relevant government agencies to always conduct periodic checks in hotels located in the state.
