The management of the Nigeria Premier League (NPL) has revealed that the 2023/24 season will kick off on Saturday August 26th.
This was revealed by the Chairman of the body, Gbenga Elegbeleye who added that the draws for the 2023/24 season and the Annual General Meeting will be held on August 17th, a week before the kick off date.
Elegbeleye who had a meeting with Club owners in Abuja on Thursday night also said that the league which will be played in full and not abridged like last season, will kick off on the 26th with matches spread across to the 27th.
League champions Enyimba will also be joined by newly promoted teams Heartland, Sporting Lagos, Kano Pillars and Katsina United.
