Kenyan champions, Gor Mahia will arrive Nigeria on Friday for Saturday’s CAF Champions League, first round, second leg fixture Lobi Stars billed for the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu. The contingent, comprising players and officials will fly to Abuja from Accra, Ghana and then connect another flight to the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport in Enugu.
The Kenyans arrived Accra on Wednesday for a two-day camping exercise after they failed to secure a direct flight from Nairobi to Enugu ahead of the CAF Champion League First Round reverse fixture in Enugu.
Gor Mahia take two goal advantage to Nigeria after they defeated the Nigerian Champions 3-1 in the first leg last weekend in Kenya. Samuel Onyango netted a brace for Gor Mahia in the encounter with Jacques Tuyisenge scoring the other goal. Samad Kadiri got Lobi Stars’ solitary goal in the CAFCL game.
Gor Mahia are looking to become the first Kenyan club to make it to the group stages of the CAF Champions League.
