Special Advisor to President says Nigeria assessing risks, benefits of joining G-20, BRICS

Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, has said that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently considering the benefits of joining the G-20 and BRICS while denying that the nation applied to join either world economic gatherings.

This is coming in the wake of  President Tinubu’s journey to attend the G-20 in India and according to Ngelale on Monday, wide and extensive consultations are taking place within the government.

Ngelale also denied that Nigeria has applied to join BRICS, another group of major emerging economies that comprises Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.
