Following the statement of The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, on the possibility of Naira becoming more valuable than the dollar, Kwara residents have expressed optimism with the possibility, urging the federal government to prioritize export.
It could be recalled that Pastor Enoch Adeboye during the church’s monthly thanksgiving service on Sunday, recounted when the Naira competed favourably with United States dollars.
Speaking with RoyalFM News, Ade Tokunbo, a pharmacist, stated that the United States historically put economical efforts to attain the value of dollar today, stressing that if Nigeria can do the same there is possibility of naira getting back its value.
Meanwhile, an entrepreneur, Mr Ahmodu, advised the government to give more room to exporting trade rather than importing goods to generate income.
In his remarks, a teacher in Ilorin, Mr Emmanuel stated that the declaration from the cleric is a message of hope and encouragement to Nigerians to remain hopeful in the midst of economic hardship.
