President Tinubu Writes Reps, Seeks Confirmation Of Service Chiefs

President Bola Tinubu has formally asked the House of Representatives to confirm the newly appointed service chiefs.

The Speaker of the House, Abass Tajudeen opened Thursday plenary by reading the President’s letter seeking the confirmation of the appointments of the heads of security agencies.

Recall that president Tinubu On June 19, 2023 removed all service chiefs in Nigeria and appointed new ones whom he directed to resume with immediate effect.

The House of Representatives also during the plenary on Thursday called on authorities to curtail increase in diphtheria cases.

The House called on the Federal Ministry of Health and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) to ensure outbreak of diphtheria is contained effectively and fatality ratio is reduced in confirmed cases.
