Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh has officially resigned, signaling a potential shake-up in the Palestinian Authority’s leadership.
The move follows heightened U.S. pressure on President Mahmoud Abbas to restructure the Authority in the aftermath of Israel’s conflict with Hamas in Gaza.
Shtayyeh’s resignation, pending approval from Abbas, may see him serving as caretaker until a permanent replacement is found.
