The Oyo state government has clarified that it obtained necessary court orders before demolishing a building believed to be the operational base of Yoruba Nation agitators.
According to reports, the structure, a storey-building situated at Toye Oyeshola Street, Shahari area, Boluwaji, Oluyole local government area, Ibadan, was torn down by the state government on Tuesday, April 16, shortly after securing a court order for the action.
Commissioner for Lands, Housing, and Urban Development, Williams Akin-Funmilayo, disclosed this information, emphasizing that the government took over the building in accordance with a High Court Order mandating its demolition.
