The Kwara State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has described as saddening the passing of Prince Oyedeji Oni, former Special Assistant on Information to the immediate past Governor of the state, Alhaji Abdulfatai Ahmed.
The state Chairman of NUJ, Abdullateef ‘Lanre Ahmed, said this during a condolence visit to the family of late Oni at his Ilorin residence this evening. Ahmed noted that the erstwhile Governors’ Aide demonstrated competence and professionalism as a Journalist while in the state civil service.
The NUJ Chairman stated that Oni, who also served as Chief Press Secretary to the late former Governor Mohammed Lawal, represented pen fraternity well throughout his stint in office.
Ahmed prayed to the Almighty God to uphold the family late Oni left behind in this trying moment.
