Roma’s head coach, Jose Mourinho has shared his insights on the Premier League title race.
Mourinho in a recent podcast episode excluded two of his former teams, Chelsea and Manchester United, from the title contention.
Despite leading the table with 39 points after 17 fixtures, Mourinho believes Arteta’s Arsenal won’t clinch the trophy. He, however, remarked despite his skepticism that he would be happy if the North London side eventually ended up winning it.
He said: “It is not the rivalry… it isn’t the right moment for them [Arsenal].
“Of course Chelsea is not going to win it, that’s out of the question, so I don’t think about Chelsea.
“Of course Manchester United is not going to win it, I don’t speak about Man United too, so it’s going to be these three and out of these three I would be happy for Arsenal to do it.”
As it stands, with a one-point difference, Liverpool and Aston Villa trail Arsenal, while the reigning champions, Manchester City, are five points adrift.
