As part of activities to seal this year’s Global Entrepreneurship Week, a notable entrepreneur in Kwara state, Musa Aliyu has admonished youths to embrace entrepreneurship, as only value creation and value addition are the ways out of the present state of unemployment.
Musa Aliyu, in a statement issued to commemorate this year’s celebration, said the economic downturn and other challenges facing countries of the world have made it expedient to admit that the era of spoon feeding is gone, and that youths must now take the future in their own hands.
He also said this year’s theme, Prosperity to all, is timely in the light of the present economic situation.
While noting that a mono-product economy should now be a thing of the past, he said Nigeria must double effort in her diversification agenda.
Aliyu also implored Kwara State Government to pay serious attention to self employment so as to drastically reduce social vices.
The founder, Business and Leadership Training Centre, further urged schools to ensure that practical steps are taken to incorporate and encourage spirit of entrepreneurship amongst pupils.
He said as part of such effort, Business and Leadership Training Centre, is putting in place activities like competition and mentoring programs that will put youths ahead in the quest for prosperity.
