President Bola Tinubu has expressed sadness over the devastating explosion that occurred on Tuesday night in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, demanding punishment for those responsible.
President Tinubu commiserate with the government and people of Oyo State and called on all concerned agencies of government to unravel the circumstances that led to the tragedy with alacrity.
The President also directed the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to work with the Oyo State Government to offer immediate and comprehensive relief to the victims.
Meanwhile the Oyo state governor Seyi Makinde has acknowledged the president’s support in an effort to bring all those involved to justice.
Meanwhile, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke have commiserated with his Oyo State counterpart, Governor Seyi Makinde, over Tuesday’s explosion that rocked Ibadan.
Reacting, Sanwo-Olu, in a statement posted on his official media page on Wednesday, described the incident as disheartening, saying that the people of Lagos State stand in solidarity with their Oyo counterparts..
Also, in a condolence message by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, Adeleke described the incident as sad and unfortunate
