In preparation for the 13th Africa Games scheduled to take place in Ghana in March, the senior men’s handball national team, the Golden Arrows, has initiated rigorous training in Abuja.
Following their recent victory at the President’s Cup during the Africa Handball Nations Cup held in Egypt, the Golden Arrows are set to represent Nigeria as the sole participants in the handball event at the Africa Olympics.
Under the guidance of Coach Solomon Yola, who is temporarily overseeing the team in the absence of head coach Rafiu Salami, twenty-six players have been summoned to the camp to prepare for the upcoming continental games.
The roster includes several players who showcased their skills at the Africa Men’s Handball Nations Cup in Egypt. The 13th Africa Games are slated to commence in Ghana from March 8th to 23rd, 2024.
