Fire Guts Complex In Ilorin, Destroys Goods Worth Millions

Fire has gutted a mini shopping complex of 20 shops in Ilorin, Kwara State destroying goods worth millions. This incident occurred at Fufu Street, Sabo-Oke area of Ilorin, in Ilorin East Local Government of the state, on Saturday

According to the spokesman of the state fire service, Hassan Adekunle, the fire incident which occurred at about 5:00am, was linked to a power surge. He added that other shops in the building including many tangible properties were saved from the fire.

The director of Kwara State Fire Service, Prince Falade John Olumuyiwa, urged the citizens to always cultivate the habit of switching off their electrical appliances even before bedtime, as it would help them to prevent the chances of fire outbreaks in their various homes, offices, and shops and also help them to drastically reduce it.
