A federal government delegation is reportedly set to visit Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo state, on Monday, January 22, for an on-the-spot assessment of the Old Bodija area affected by last week Tuesday’s explosion.
The Nations reported the delegation will include the Minister of Solid Minerals, Dele Alake, and the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, along with other high-ranking government officials.
The purpose of the visit, as gathered, is to evaluate the impact of the explosion and determine the appropriate form of support and palliative measures for the victims and affected residents. The team is expected to engage in discussions with relevant authorities and assess the extent of the devastation caused by the explosion.
The delegation aims to gather firsthand information on the incident, which rocked the ancient city and resulted in the loss of lives and extensive damage to property.
