Chelsea legend, Didier Drogba has called for patience with the club, referring to the Blues’ poor results this season.
Drogba urged Chelsea fans to be patient with Mauricio Pochettino, admitting that the young players need time to adjust despite the fact that there is no time in football.
He acknowledged that it is a difficult moment for the club and he expressed his support and trust in the manager, referring to Pochettino as a coach who knows the Premier League well.
“It is not an easy moment for the club but they have my support and my trust, because Chelsea is still Chelsea,” Drogba said.
“Those young players came to Chelsea because we created a legacy and they want to be part of this legacy.
“Unfortunately there is no time in football but they will need time to adjust.
“It is just a matter of time and I hope the vision will be quite similar to what we had when Roman Abramovich bought the club. Everyone knows what Pochettino has done in the Premier League. He knows the League well and he is doing the best job possible.”
As it stands, Pochettino is under increasing pressure as Chelsea continues to struggle this season, with recent losses to Wolves and Liverpool in the Premier League.
