Tobi Amusan, Nigeria’s star athlete, secured her third consecutive gold medal in the women’s 100m hurdles at the African Games, showcasing her dominance in grand style.
Despite a momentary false start scare, Amusan delivered an impressive performance, crossing the finish line with a time of 12.89 seconds.
Her remarkable feat makes her the only athlete to achieve a hat-trick of African Games titles in the women’s 100m hurdles, having previously triumphed in Brazzaville 2015, Rabat 2019, and now in Accra 2023.
