Britain’s King Charles III made his first public appearance since the announcement of his cancer diagnosis, attending Sunday church service at St Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham, eastern England.
Accompanied by his wife, Queen Camilla, the 75-year-old monarch was greeted by the church’s rector, Reverend Paul Williams, upon arrival. He waved to awaiting media, showcasing resilience amidst the challenging period following the revelation of his health condition.
The royal outing followed a message released by the king on Saturday, expressing gratitude for the overwhelming support and well-wishes he had received since the announcement of his diagnosis. Charles conveyed his heartfelt appreciation, emphasizing the comfort and encouragement derived from the outpouring of kindness.
Despite taking an indefinite hiatus from public royal duties, Charles continues to engage in administrative responsibilities behind closed doors.
