The Ondo Elites Assembly (OEA) has strongly criticized the recent allegations of forgery made by the Ondo State Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Razaq Obe.
Recall that the commissioner had raised concerns about the alleged forgery of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu’s signature on certain documents.
In response to Obe’s claims, the General Secretary of OEA, Yemi Oladiran, issued a statement expressing dissatisfaction with the handling of the forgery allegations.
According to the RoyalTimes, the group emphasized that the manner in which the allegations were presented and supposedly investigated raised concerns and questioned the motive behind the commissioner’s actions.
It was gathered that Obe had alerted the Deputy Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, about the alleged forgery, claiming that the signature on certain documents received from the office of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) was forged.
He further stated that forensic experts had confirmed the alleged forgery. However, 24 hours after Obe’s claims, the state government has yet to respond to the allegations.
