The Nigerian Railway Corporation says the Abuja-Kaduna rail transportation has no definite date of resumption.
Recall that, a few days ago, there were reports of the Abuja-Kaduna railway resuming train service on November 24, 2022.
Clarifying its stand in a statement, the Managing Director of Nigeria Railway Service, Fidet Okhiria, described the report as false, urging members of the public to disregard such false reports.
Okhiria stated that the federal government is making desperate efforts to resume the train transportation, but the definite date has not been fixed.
According to him, it is true that the Minister announced that the Abuja-Kaduna train will resume services in November. He, however, added that efforts are being made by all necessary quarters to ensure that train service resumes before the end of November.
Okhiria, while reiterating the government’s efforts and commitment to securing the lives and properties of esteemed passengers, also promised that necessary modalities would be put in place before resumption.
